Rajneesh Pandey has been working with Roshan TVS, a two-wheeler automobile dealer and showroom in Udaipur, since 2004. He started as a sales executive, and today he is the sales manager at the showroom.
Rajneesh originally hails from Nainital, Uttarakhand. He did his post-graduation in history and pedagogy.
Rajneesh was selected for the army, but his family wanted him to not join the army and do a job instead. Thereafter, he worked at a Vanaspati plant and then at a factory in Lucknow. Thereafter, he joined a chit fund company and worked there for around twelve years. After his wedding, he came to Udaipur and joined Roshan TVS, and he has been working there ever since.
Talking about tough times in his life, Rajneesh says that from 1995 to 2000, he had to struggle to find a good job. He was aiming for a government job while he was in a private job. But to get a government job, it would require him to be at the site, and he feared that he might lose his private job if he appeared for the government jobs about which he got to know through his contacts.
To work in sales, Rajneesh advises that one must first know the local language of the region that they work in. Besides, one must possess sales aptitude to be able to sell.
He considers the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose personality he always got inspiration from, as his role model.
Discussing the COVID pandemic, he shares that, in light of the pandemic, he had to stay at home only. And therefore, he didn’t have a good time, as he likes to be at his workplace and work.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Rajneesh believes that both are important. Education teaches one to communicate effectively, while experience is gained through work.
Rajneesh shares that for any business to grow, it’s paramount to keep each and every employee at the workplace happy and look after them well, as one person can’t do all the jobs, and without the support of all the employees, a business can’t grow.
To the youth, his message is not to lose their temper easily, to respect the elders in their family, and to pay heed to what they have to say.
In his free time, Rajneesh likes to spend time with his family.
