He believes that patience is one of the most valuable virtues in the road to become successful.

Rajneesh Gaur is the General Manager of the Jeevantara Resort in Udaipur since July 2020. Before starting in his current role he was working with various companies like Nestle India Limited, Godrej, Pantaloons, Onida, etc. in the sales and marketing division.

He says that he started his career back in the late 80s, while working in various cities of the country. He moved to Udaipur back in 1997, starting his career in the thriving hotel industry of the city and has been working in the domain for the past 23 years.

Elaborating on his life’s struggle, he says that he lost his father at an age of 14. He says that he was just starting his life at that moment and had to cope with the stress. He also points out that the current pandemic also turned to be a difficult situation for the hospitality and hotel industry along with the rest of the world.

Keeping patience helped Rajneesh navigate successfully in this pandemic, which is also demonstrated by his appointment in the Jeevantara Resort. He also says that everyone must keep patience to overcome difficulties in their life and career.

He says that his biggest inspiration are his parents, his father and his mother. He says that although he has lost both of them, he has their teaching with him always. Recalling the lessons given by his father, he says that he practices honesty and one must also be loyal to the organization and your colleagues.

Speaking about the hotel and hospitality profession, he says that people aspiring to work in this industry should not just join it for the glamor. He says that it is important to be courteous, punctual, and one must understand that you might have to work for long hours.

Rajneesh says that if he ever gets to re-choose his career path he will go for a career in the NGO sector. The reason for this is that he wishes to serve without the expectations and the possibility of getting a monetary gain out of the act.

In his childhood, Rajneesh moved from one part of the country to the other. His father was an Indian Air Force officer and the entire family moved with him. He says that his father used to take them to the airport to show them how the Indian Airforce works. They also used to visit farmlands to see how the farmers support our country.
