Rajnandini Sharma was born, brought up, and schooled in Udaipur. She says that to fulfill your dreams you need not go to big cities. Small cities also have a lot of potential and you can make a career in your own city. She also stayed in her hometown, Udaipur to make her career. She loves Udaipur so much that she never thought of going out of it to realize her dreams.
Rajnandini’s grandfather used to work for print media. She would see her grandfather and father work very hard. Her father was a news writer and she would get inspired from him. She says that when her father would come back home she would recite the news that he collected in the day. She would love to do it.
After completing her education she thought of taking to news anchoring as her profession. She got the support of everyone in her family in this endeavour of hers.
Rajnandini considers her parents her role models. She says that both her parents were working professionals and they would work very hard. Her parents always instilled in her a down-to-earth attitude.
Rajnandini says that in today’s time having an education is important. But bookish knowledge alone is not sufficient to succeed. You need to have behavioral and practical knowledge. You ought to work on the ground and put your knowledge to practice to learn.
She is not a born leader. By working she has gained confidence in herself. And by confidence, she has been able to lead in her profession.
If she could go back in time and undo something, Rajnandini would want to pursue singing and dancing more, so that she could show the artistic side of hers to the people.
Reflecting on her childhood, Rajnandini says that her parents were working professionals. She would be home with her younger brother. They both would enjoy each other’s company and play games. She was an obedient kid.
Besides her profession, Rajnandini likes to sing. Whenever she gets free time she sings old evergreen songs.
