Rajkumari is a salon owner who started her salon to give proper knowledge about hygiene to rural females. Now, she is encouraging other girls to join this field.

Rajkumari Sen is the owner of Roop Rani Beauty Parlor, Udaipur. She has been working in this field for the past twenty-six years.

Rajkumari says that she hails from a rural area where females were not very aware of this field and work. They were not interested in moving out to have these services and hence Rajkumari started this work from her home itself.

Rajkumari shares that she also used to do stitching work before coming into this field and now has dedicated herself solely to salon work.

Talking about struggles, Rajkumari says that initially her husband was not in support of her doing this work and wanted her to take care of the kids. However, when he saw Rajkumari managing both things perfectly, he also started supporting her.

Rajkumari says that she has also motivated her daughter and daughter-in-law to come into this field and also encourages girls to learn this work and not think of it as taboo.

राजकुमारी सेन रूप रानी ब्यूटी पार्लर, उदयपुर की ओनर हैं। वह पिछले छब्बीस सालों से इस क्षेत्र में काम कर रही हैं।

राजकुमारी का कहना है कि वह एक ऐसे ग्रामीण क्षेत्र से आती हैं जहां महिलाओं को इस क्षेत्र और काम के बारे में ज्यादा जानकारी नहीं थी। इन सेवाओं को पाने के लिए उन्हें बाहर जाने में कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं थी और इसलिए राजकुमारी ने अपने घर से ही यह काम शुरू कर दिया।

राजकुमारी बताती हैं कि इस क्षेत्र में आने से पहले वह सिलाई का काम भी करती थीं और अब उन्होंने खुद को पूरी तरह सैलून के काम के लिए समर्पित कर दिया है।
