Live your life to the fullest; don’t keep on stressing about tomorrow; chase your dreams and live today.
Rajiv Singha is known as “Prince” amongst his friends. He belongs to Guwahati in Assam and graduated from there. He did his masters in Chandigarh. After that, he was living a corporate life for a long time and was even posted in the Middle East for some time.
Coming back to India, Rajiv thought of doing something of his own and started taking insights from his entrepreneur friends. Inspired by them, he started his venture and worked for some time, but eventually there were some problems and he had to shut it down, which was a major setback for him.
Rajiv thought of doing something new and got into this consulting business. There were people who helped him out in his initial phase, and slowly he managed to have the corporate tie-ups and started providing services in this field.
Rajiv likes to record videos, as the pictures do magic for him. And therefore, he started his YouTube channel with his GoPro, as he is not very keen on investing a lot of money in such things. He used to make videos while traveling and post them on his channel, but in no time, again, there was a problem. His channel got suspended due to some mistake while he had fourteen thousand subscribers. He tried to revive his channel, but he could not. He again started afresh, and currently he is waiting for his four thousand hours to be completed to go with the monetization of his channel.
Because of the COVID pandemic, there was financial trouble in the family. Rajiv’s consultancy business was moving really slowly, and he thought of joining a job and started working with an edtech company and trying to survive.
Rajiv advises that if someone wants to be a YouTuber, they don’t need a fancy camera; a cell phone or a handheld gadget can be used. Although the quality of the video matters, editing the video is also very important. Once you are all set, you can start investing in gadgets, video editing software, and other stuff. You keep on experimenting to see your flaws and learn from them. Always check for IPR’s like copyright on the music you are using in your video.
Rajiv is inspired by a few YouTubers, like Traveling Mondays and Ankit Bhatia. He loves their way of storytelling, cinematography, recording, and music. Rajiv’s channel is called “North-East Indians”.
Rajiv likes to listen to music and sing in his free time. He also likes to spend time with his friends.
Being a North-East Indian, Rajiv had to face racial issues many times. After graduating in Guwahati, he went to Punjab for his Masters, and from there, he landed up in Kolkata due to campus placement. He had an admirable work life.
Rajiv would like to give some suggestions to the youngsters: instead of going for a crux, plan stepwise by focusing on what you want to achieve. He talks about the work culture abroad and, while comparing it to India, thinks it is not balanced properly.
A motto that Rajiv follows in his life is, See how you can make your life better today and how much you can contribute to your society and your family.
