Rajesh enrolled himself in the Executive Management Program in IIM, Lucknow, and became the topper of the batch.
Talking about his struggles, Rajesh says that the toughest part was figuring out a career path for himself. He also used to compare himself with others a lot and that also made him underconfident. Understanding his own strengths was his struggle in life.
Rajesh shares that it took him three years to come up with his first book which was published in 2018. It opened many opportunities for him as a speaker. He was invited to give speeches at events like World Marketing Congress, Economic Times Marketing Leaders Summit, and Bangladesh Brand Summit. Also, he started a consultancy business in 2019 after getting much exposure in the field.
Talking about his role models, Rajesh says that Sachin Tendulkar inspires him a lot. His consistency, commitment, and humbleness impress Rajesh extremely.
When asked to advise the new generation, Rajesh requests them to learn the basic principles of marketing and also get a hold of new-age marketing concepts like digital marketing and data analytics. According to Rajesh, in order to stay relevant, one has to club two mindsets together, i.e., learning the evergreen principles of marketing on one hand and focusing on changing business dynamics and culture on the other.
Rajesh says that his success mantra in life is ABC: Always Be Curious.
Rajesh also follows a quote by Steve Jobs which is ‘Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish’.
