A committed reporter, Rajesh is always focused and dedicated to his work. He has been in this profession for the last two years and has learned a lot and gained good experience.

Rajesh R. is a passionate journalist who is currently serving as a reporter at ATN News, Udaipur.

Rajesh hails from a village near Udaipur. He did his schooling until 10th grade in his village and then came to Udaipur for further education. He did his BCom, MCom, and then a course in Journalism.

Recalling his childhood, Rajesh says that his childhood was spent in his village, which is around 21 km from Udaipur. He had an amazing time playing with his friends, roaming around, exploring new places, and leading a carefree life during his childhood.

Rajesh’s role models are his parents. He considers them to be his ultimate source of motivation and support. They have guided him, supported him, and made him capable enough to stand on his own two feet.

Advising aspirants to his field, Rajesh says that Journalism is a very responsible job as it sometimes even conveys the message of the local public to authorities. For the people interested in this profession, he suggests they come mentally prepared, as a person here has to perform multiple tasks, including report writing, reporting, scripting, and even editing.

Sharing his COVID experience, Rajesh says that COVID time was really tough for him as his profession is entirely based on fieldwork. During the lockdown, he had to work continuously. He travelled to and from his village every day in order to complete his work, and even when he was at home, he maintained a proper distance from everyone out there. It was really difficult to manage things and also stay safe during that time while performing the duties.

Rajesh thinks that in the field of journalism, both education and experience play an important role. Education is important to write down the report, and doing other tasks and experience helps us enhance our performance. So both of them are equally essential to growing in this field.

Rajesh had imbibed leadership qualities right from his childhood. He used to lead events at his school and in college as well. He was even one of the candidates in the election for his college student union. He believes that leadership is very essential to progress in today’s scenario, and according to him, a true leader is someone who grows along with his team.

Apart from reporting, Rajesh is also running his own catering business.

In his free time, he loves listening to songs and chilling out with friends.

Rajesh loves his parents dearly, and his favourite line is "My parents are my life", He never forgets this line and uses it all the time.
