Rajesh Gamre is the owner and director of RG's Unknown Dance Academy in Thane, Mumbai.
Rajesh belongs to Maharashtra. He has been running his own dance academy for the last 35 years. He primarily worked as an executive producer in the Marathi films industry and later also worked on Bollywood Hindi films. He hopes to produce some more Bollywood films in future. He is known for the movie "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," in which his students performed. He feels very proud as his students Sagar Bohra and Tejas Verma won the latest season of "Jhalak Dikhla Ja" in 2022.
Talking about his journey, Rajesh says that his interest in dance developed when break dancing was introduced in India. He never learned to dance from anyone, but as he had a quick, sporty, active body, he adopted the dance style very quickly. He feels blessed to be supported by his friends, family, and audience. When he got the support of his father, he embarked on his journey, and in 1989 he performed for the first time at a gathering. He did his first choreography in his own production house. He has organised 33 annual programmes and produced five Marathi films.
Rajesh shares that he hosted his first fashion show in 1994, and until 2022, he did 32 fashion shows where his own models won various titles.
Advising the aspirants to this field, Rajesh says that the path is difficult, but if your hard work and dedication are true, success will come automatically.
Rajesh's ideal is Michael Jackson, but he also admires Govinda and Mehmood. He follows the style of Javed Jafri as a dancer.
