Rajendra Prajapati is a sculptor and the owner of Jaipur's Arjun Art Gallery.

Rajendra hails from Jaipur.

Recalling his childhood, Rajendra says that he started learning this art form when he was in the eighth grade from his father, who himself is a Padma Shri Awardee sculptor, and anatomical drawing and painting from his father's guru, Shri Dwarika Prasad.

Rajendra says that his father also encouraged him to learn about marketing. After his father’s demise, Rajendra continued to live by the principles taught by his father. He recalls his father's advice to keep your motives pure in order to succeed in life and help others in need. After his father’s demise, he tries to carry forward his father’s legacy. He also started the Arjun Kala Kendra Award to facilitate budding artists in the art field.

Rajendra also describes the whole process of selecting marble for the making of a sculpture. Rajendra says this art form can only be learned under the guidance of a capable teacher, and you have to dedicate at least three years to learn this art. His father also started an academy named Murti Udhyog Prasikhshan Kendra, where they teach children without charging them any fees.

His message for the youth is not to take shortcuts in life but to work hard to achieve success.

When asked about his role models, Rajendra says that his father is his management guru and has inspired him throughout his life.

In his free time, Rajendra meditates to remain stress-free, which also helps him in his work. He has also joined the Ram Chandra Mission.

Rajendra's life mantra is that everyone faces challenges, but one should face them without stress and enjoy life as much as possible.
