With his vast experience in both teaching and school management, Rajiv works to develop a learning environment in his school that is engaging, supportive, and adaptable to the various needs of the students.

Rajiv Saxena is the principal at Witty International School, Udaipur. He has been working in the education industry for the past twenty-eight years. He describes his journey so far as both challenging and rewarding because of the learning opportunities he has received from students and fellow teachers.

Rajiv holds a degree of Master of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Business Administration in Education Management, and a Bachelor of Education. He began his career as a trainer, teaching computers to corporate employees and others when computers were first introduced into offices.

Recollecting his childhood, Rajiv says he had a wonderful childhood with his joint family. He was born and brought up in Shahjahanpur, UP. His father used to work with the Ministry of Defense, and his mother was a teacher. Because of his father’s transferable nature, they were constantly moving and he cherishes memories of those various locations. He had received his school education from Kendriya Vidyalaya, proving himself as an active participant in different co-curricular activities, from debate and extemporè to sports.

Speaking about struggles, Rajiv says he was fortunate to not face any struggle as such. He remembers how difficult it was for his mother to take care of her family while working as a teacher and raising children. He says her hardship taught him that if a person has a tough mind, they will definitely fetch success because for tough people tough times never last.

Rajiv describes his experience during the COVID pandemic as devastating, seeing people all around suffering emotional and financial losses. He says that the children who were forced to stay at home suffered the most because their physical activities were limited to their homes. He understands their plight of spending too much time in front of digital screens, which is very hard. On the bright side, he says, we can see teachers and schools successfully implementing online teaching tools. It has opened up new possibilities for those who want to learn at home.

When asked about his role models, Rajiv says he considers his mother to be his role model. He describes his mother as a very diligent woman who managed to balance work and home life quite well. His mother was also a very good teacher, which inspired him to pursue a career in education.

If Rajiv could go back in time via a time machine, then he would relive the time when he was a carefree kid. He cherishes the time he spent with his younger sister and family and wished to relive those good times.

When free, Rajiv likes to spend time with his family. He enjoys playing with his kids. He also goes on drives with his family whenever he gets the chance.

Rajiv's bit of advice for the young people is that they should practice tolerance and patience. He advises young people to pursue careers based on their interests and, specifically, for themselves rather than to please others.

Rajiv shares his favorite quote, which is “The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war.” He believes that the more we prepare for the exams on a daily basis, the closer we will be to success on exam day.

Rajiv's success mantra for living a happy life is to practice self-discipline. According to him, discipline is something that is always taught to students in school, but if someone wants to lead a successful life, he must first instill discipline in himself. Furthermore, he believes that happiness is found in being grateful to God for what we have and that we should always be determined to grow.
