Although Rajat is doing great in the Education field, he still has the curiosity and willingness to make a career in the production department of the Pharmaceutical industry.

Rajat Vaishnav works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at BN College of Pharmacy in Udaipur. His research area is Herbal Drug Analysis.

Rajat belongs to Mavli, Udaipur. He did his schooling from St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur. Then he did his B.Pharm from BN College of Pharmacy. Soon he started his professional career with Ipca Laboratories in Ratlam. After working there for eight months, he switched to Torrent Pharmaceuticals in Ahmedabad in its Production department. In the meantime, he got married to a government teacher, due to which he had to leave his job to settle in Udaipur and start his career afresh.

After coming here, Rajat started his journey in the marketing field by taking some products on loan and he even succeeded in it. But then he stepped into the academic field by joining BN College on the post of a Lecturer. Alongside teaching, he also did his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from there.

During the Covid pandemic, Rajat’s parents fell victim to this deadly disease and had to be hospitalized. But because his sister is a doctor, his parents got good care and support which helped them recover. On the professional front, all classes had shifted to the online platforms and all the teachers were also given training by All India Pharmacy Teachers Association. He believes that the teaching field has been completely revolutionized because of Covid and that is a good thing.

Rajat considers his parents as his role models because his father struggled a lot in life. Coming from a small village, he changed the life of himself and his family. And his mother always supported his father at every phase of life. In his professional life, he considers one of the Assistant Professors, Professor Soni, as a role model.

If Rajat had a Time Machine, he would go back and take forward his production career instead of changing his field to education and academics.

In his free time, Rajat likes to hang out with his family. Apart from this, he has always been very interested in sports. He loves to play Badminton, Basketball and other sports with his children at home.

Rajat advises the young generation to stick to what you want to achieve. He tells them to never take shortcuts because that road only leads to failure. But in the midst of working hard, if there comes a failure, then take experience from it and on that basis, move ahead in your life.
