Rahul Vyas is an exponent of martial arts and has been in this field for the last 32 years.
Rahul belongs to Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Rahul shares that he had always been fascinated towards sports. During his first year of college, he took the black belt exam, and became the youngest person in Madhya Pradesh to receive the black belt in Judo. He had been the All-India University gold medalist from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. He claims he has trained thousands of students in his academy. He is also the General Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Kurash Association.
Rahul says that initially he wanted to play badminton, but his seniors did not allow him to practice. So he joined the nearby Karate and Judo academy and slowly started developing an interest in martial arts.
He has been an ‘A’ grade referee in India and also an international referee.
Regarding his achievements, Rahul says he won the fight against cancer with the support of his family, which is the biggest achievement for him.
Rahul shares that his training center has been focusing on Kurash since 2012, and his students won silver and bronze medals in the Asian Games 2018, which were held in Indonesia. It is through his efforts that the government has recognised this sport and provided his center with facilities and scholarships for his students. Along with Kurash, they also teach mixed martial arts.
Sharing about his mistakes, Rahul says that initially he was not able to earn much from the sports field and regretted not doing any other business, but now that he is recognised in this field and has established his own academy, he is financially stable.
When asked about his role models, Rahul mentions his guru, from whom he learned Judo, and aspires to be like him.
Rahul’s life mantra is to be positive and not to focus on negativity.
