An entrepreneur who left his job in order to start his own business, Rahul believes in gaining proper knowledge and spending time with professionals to get better ideas for starting businesses.

Rahul Soni is the owner of Mangal Art Jewellers in Nathdwara.

Hailing from Nathdwara, Rahul says he manufactures and sells artificial jewelry. He completed his BCom at Seth Mathuradas Binani Government College. Later, he worked at Axis Bank for nine months.

Recalling his childhood, Rahul says he was brought up in Nathdwara, and since his father was engaged in business, he always wanted to do business. He started his own shop selling artificial jewelry with the support of his mother.

When asked about his role models, Rahul says his father has always supported him and inspired him. He considers his parents his role models because they taught him a lot about starting his own business.

Sharing his opinion on the importance of knowledge and experience, Rahul says both are essential for achieving success, as knowledge helps in keeping track of market conditions and experience helps in taking the right decision in a particular situation.

Talking about his challenges, Rahul says he was sent to Mumbai during his graduation as his father wanted him to learn the work. He stayed there for six years and learned the art of making gold and silver jewelry. Later, he came back to Nathdwara and started a job at Axis Bank. After some time, his father suggested he work at their family business of artificial jewelry. He started his own shop and has been in business for two years.

Advising the younger generation, Rahul says you need to spend some time with a professional in the field of your choice in order to learn the work. He also says that proper knowledge of the field is important in order to start your own business.

In his free time, Rahul likes to play cricket and go for hikes.
