Rahul Sathe hails from Pune. He is the founder of The Inspiration Dance School there.
Rahul shares that till he was in high school he never danced even once. He says he used to drop her sister to her dance classes and he would have to stay there till her classes would get over. Though he never really liked dancing, he would observe the dance steps taught to students in the class. On one occasion, one of the dance teachers proposed he participate in a cultural dance show that they were organizing. He agreed and within ten days of preparation he was able to perform on stage. Thus he realized that he could dance. Later he learned other styles of Dance like Bollywood, Hip-hop, etc..
In 2000, Rahul started his dance school and he claims to have taught Dance to more than three thousand five hundred students to date. Besides, he also claims to have participated in some TV dance reality shows.
His Success Mantra is to be consistent in whatever he does. He says that irrespective of how many challenges one has to face, one should never give in to be able to get success in whatever they do.
His sister and his wife - a Bharatanyatam dancer, are his biggest inspiration. Besides, he considers Remo D’Souza and Prabhu Deva as his role models and idols.
In his spare time, he likes to play Cricket with his son.
Talking about his struggles, Rahul says that in 2009, some of his team members left the team which was quite challenging for him. And in 2019, his dance academy caught fire and he had to rebuild it from scratch.
Talking about Covid, Rahul says that the past two years of the pandemic have been tough for everyone and he hopes that everything soon will be back on track.
To aspiring dancers, Rahul advises them to always remain humble in their Dance journey and keep learning Dance as learning to dance is a continuous process.
