Rahul did his entire schooling in Churu. After that, he came to Udaipur and did his BBA from B.N. College and MBA from MLSU. Rahul then decided to use his knowledge in extending the reach of his family business.
Talking about their business, Rahul says that they create carved items with sandalwood and try to tell historical stories related to warriors like Maharana Pratap and incidents like Krishna Leela, etc. through their products.
Rahul says that he has been practicing this art from his childhood days.
Talking about struggles, Rahul says that it requires a lot of practice to get the right hand at this skill and that is the only tough part.
Sharing his experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rahul says that before the lockdown they used to get customers from foreign countries as well but after it, everything closed down and their business dropped down drastically. They went online during this phase and started selling on Instagram first. After that, they developed their website and now sell globally.
Talking about his achievements, Rahul shares that his family has received national awards from V. V. Giri, Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, and Indira Gandhi. His family has a total of eleven national awards and is also a record holder for the same in the Guinness Book of World Records, Limca Book of World Records, and India Book of World Records.
When asked about his role models, Rahul says that his grandfather who taught the intricacies of this art to him is his role model. He also considers his father a motivation in this field.
In his free time, Rahul likes to go out with his friends and try new food.
