Highly popular among Commerce students in Udaipur, Rahul Badala is leading Badala Classes in their quest to establish Udaipur as a Commerce Coaching hub just like Kota which is known as the Science Coaching hub. He is finding success and has produced many All India CA/CS rankers in the last few years.

CA Rahul Badala is the Director of the popular and famous Badala Classes in Udaipur.

Rahul completed his schooling at St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School in Udaipur. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from Commerce College and simultaneously enrolled in the CA course. Rahul started teaching soon after completing his intermediate studies and has been teaching for the past twenty years with experience of teaching over 40 thousand students to date.  He says the positive feedback received from his juniors and students motivates him to do better each day. He feels proud that several of his students are working in high positions in companies all over the country.

Rahul’s father started the journey of Badala Classes with just 400-500 local students. But with time, the institute grew, and today almost 5000 students are taught every year at the institute. Rahul claims that apart from Udaipur, they have students from several nearby cities of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Badala Classes aim to make Udaipur a nationwide centre for Commerce Studies, just like Kota is for Science.

Rahul was born and brought up in  Udaipur itself. He says he has been an avid cricket lover since his school days. Cricket is his first love, and he wanted to make a career out of it. His teachers, Mr Ajay Gupta, and Mr Mahendra Sojatia motivated and inspired him to try teaching as he had the necessary skills to be a good teacher. He says these two gurus became his best friends, philosophers, and guides. They had a positive, uplifting and friendly approach with him; something that Rahul tries to maintain with his students.

During childhood, Rahul aspired to be an all-rounder. But growing up, he realised that he had to make a career and excel in something. Cricket seemed too difficult to pursue, thus he joined the CA course without many expectations. Rahul cleared the first level in the first attempt, which gave him the zeal and direction to pursue this field.

Today, he teaches 10-12 hours every day at his institute. He is proud of the fact that Badala Classes has contributed a lot in creating better awareness about Commerce studies.

When Covid struck the nation, everyone at Badala Classes was puzzled, including Rahul. However, he claims that they launched an online application for tutoring students in just eighteen days. Hence, to all the aspiring teachers, he suggests being conceptually sound and to teach with their hearts in it. He advises them to be their students’ friends so that it’s easy to meet their expectations.

Rahul likes to absorb the good from everyone he meets or knows. Therefore, his role models include his parents, brothers, teachers, and students.

Talking about leadership and the success of Badala Classes, Rahul says that he is an average person who has a team of rockstars. He believes that the combined efforts of his teachers and students make Badala Classes a success. He feels proud to have given fifty-eight all India ranks from his institution.

Rahul is part of the social organisation, Robinhood Army, which works to distribute leftover food from events and functions to the weaker sections of the society. Moreover, they also educate the kids from rural and BPL families and get them admitted to schools. Thus, Rahul’s leisure time is spent on humanitarian causes.

The quote which drives him is, “Do that which is considered impossible to do.”
