Rahul Ahluwalia is a Consultant Pulmonologist, Allergy Specialist and an Interventional Pulmonologist at Santosh Memorial Hospital, Jaipur.
Rahul was born and brought up in Jaipur. He feels that he had a blessed childhood. During his school and college days, he used to play basketball and table tennis. He represented Rajasthan three times in table tennis and two times in the Western zone in basketball.
Talking about his entry into the field of medicine, Rahul says that he was inspired by his father's way of working and his relationships with his patients. He says that his teachers also played an important role in his decision to become a doctor.
Regarding mistakes in his life, Rahul says that he used to depend a lot on others. He suffered from this major mistake at the time of his counseling for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. So he advises all of us that we should always do our work and we should never depend on others.
When asked about role models in his life, Rahul says that he has three role models. His father is his first role model who taught him to be kind-hearted and stay in the discipline. His second role model is MS Dhoni who always focuses on his project. Anil desires to meet MS Dhoni once in his life. His third role model is Dr. H.K Lohadiya of Udaipur from whom he learned many things regarding his profession.
Sharing about his hobbies and interests, Rahul says that he likes to write poems. He also likes to spend time with his family when free.
To the aspirants to the field of medicine, Rahul advises them to be ready for a long process. He also suggests to keep learning every day and have an empathetic behavior towards the patients.
To the youngsters, Rahul advises them to choose the career they like, but they should focus on their work fully. Also, they should be good human beings and always have good thinking.
Rahul's life mantra is to go slow but always keep going. Also, never compare with anyone financially or career-wise.
