Rahul Agarwal - Revolutionising the education sector in North Rajasthan

Believing in his instincts, Rahul Agarwal built the Pacific Group from scratch, which is recognized nationwide. Overcoming financial setbacks, he expanded the institution to 100+ colleges with 15,000+ students. He embodies a never-say-die attitude and exudes an indomitable spirit. He also emphasises hard work, honesty, and effective management for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Rahul Agarwal originally hails from Gangapur. He was born and brought up there. He completed his schooling till 10th standard in his village only. Later in 1989, he came to Udaipur and completed his high school from Guru Govind Singh School, Udaipur. He has also done B.Com. from MB College, Udaipur. After completing his B.Com. in 1995 he went to Mumbai to do CA but eventually ended up doing a business in marble. He did quite well in his business. Later when he wanted to do an MBA he realised that there were not any private management institutions in North India. So he enrolled in Devi Ahilya University in Indore to pursue MBA. However, he later dropped out of MBA.

Sensing the need of a private management institution in North India in 1995 he, with his own savings of 20 lac rupees, started a management institution in Udaipur. Since then he never looked back and opened many more institutions in Udaipur and various cities of Rajasthan. Today his Pacific Group has 100 plus colleges under its belt and more than 15000 students are enrolled in these colleges.

Talking about turbulent times in his life, Rahul says that ups and downs are a part of everyone’s life. He too has faced many challenges in his life. Everything was going well in his life until 2015 when he had to face a huge financial loss amounting to 800 cr. His medical institution also had to go through some compliance issues. He even had to face a raid by the Income Tax Department. But he never gave in and crossed all the hurdles with determination and patience.

To anyone who wants to be a successful businessman Rahul advises that you should be hard working and honest with your work. Besides, having a good team and good financial and time management are keys to success. He advises the younger generation to not lose calm and manage the stress in every situation.

Rahul says that covid 19 has been a very challenging time for him. During this time he himself came to the fore to boost up the morale of doctors at his medical institutions. His whole family worked with doctors to bring the chaotic situation to a manageable one. He provided food to more than 4 lac needy people, those who were left stranded by this pandemic.

Rahul likes to follow the teachings of Lord Buddha. He considers himself his own inspiration.

Rahul’s life mantra is he doesn’t overthink. He just believes in execution and leaves the rest to god.

Reflecting on his childhood Rahul reminisces that he spent his childhood in a rural setting. Where he would climb trees, swim in ponds and play cricket and other outdoor games with his friends.

Apart from his work Rahul likes to spend time with his wife and kids. He also likes to do yoga and plant trees. To date, he claims that he has planted more than 4 lac plants.
