Raghuvendra Bihari Mathur is an advocate in Jaipur, practicing since 1987. He was born and brought up in Jaipur. He is a third-generation lawyer in his family, as his father and grandfather were also lawyers.
He did his schooling at St. Xavier’s School in Jaipur and completed his further studies at Agrawal Law College in Jaipur itself. He thinks education without experience is like a half-filled glass of water.

He says that since he was active in politics, he always had leadership qualities. He has been General Secretary and also President of the Bar Association. Raghuvendra's experience in politics has further honed his leadership skills, allowing him to effectively navigate the complexities of the legal profession. His involvement in various leadership roles within the Bar Association showcases his ability to inspire and unite others towards a common goal. These experiences have undoubtedly shaped his perspective on the importance of strong leadership in achieving success as a lawyer.
Talking about achievements, Raghuvendra says practicing as a lawyer for 34 years itself is an achievement. He says he has been a lawyer for many government departments, like the Income Tax Department, Postal Department, Excise Department, and Cooperative Department, among others. He has also been the counsel for several big companies like Larsen & Toubro, Birlas, Mangalam Cement, etc.
When asked about ego and pride, Raghuvendra says that he thinks ego and pride are very different from each other. Ego is when you do not consider others anything compared to yourself. In his opinion, while having pride in your achievements is good, having an ego is always detrimental to your social life and profession. According to him, ego can hinder collaboration and teamwork, as it often leads to a disregard for others' opinions and ideas. He believes that pride, on the other hand, allows individuals to acknowledge their accomplishments without belittling or disrespecting others.
Raghuvendra's advice for newcomers to the law field is that they would have to give full time to their profession. They would have to sit in the office with patience and diligence. He feels pride in the fact that many young advocates have interned from his office. He believes that this dedication and commitment to their work is what sets them apart and helps them excel in their careers. Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and staying updated with the latest developments in the legal field to stay competitive.
During the COVID pandemic, Raghuvendra says the period was a learning experience for him. He learned how to conduct his work online, which was new to him. He is happy that the COVID pandemic has made him tech-savvy. He now feels confident in his ability to adapt to new technologies and believes it has made him a more versatile and efficient lawyer. He also acknowledges the importance of maintaining a work-life balance, as the pandemic highlighted the need for self-care and mental well-being in order to thrive professionally.
In his free time, Raghuvendra says that he does a lot of reading. He likes to read books and magazines of all genres. He finds reading to be a great way to unwind and expand his knowledge on various subjects. Additionally, he enjoys discussing books with friends and joining book clubs to engage in stimulating conversations about literature.
When asked about his inspiration, Raghuvendra says that he is inspired by his father. His father was a diligent man, and his strong work ethic and dedication to his family taught him the importance of perseverance and commitment. He strives to emulate his father's values in both his personal and professional lives, always seeking opportunities for growth and pushing himself to achieve his goals.
