Radhey Shyam, a retired bank official who served with excellence, is now managing a general store post his retirement.

Radhey Shyam Agarwal is the owner of Agarwal General Store in Pushkar.

Radhey Shyam says that he did his schooling at a government school in Pushkar. Thereafter, he did an M.Com. at the government college. In 1979, he got selected to work at the Bank of Baroda as a clerk, and gradually he got promoted to the post of senior manager. He retired from service in 2006 from the Mumbai branch of the bank.

Recalling his childhood, Radhey Shyam says that he used to play a lot of outdoor games, which are unknown to young kids today as they are busy with their phones and computers. He remembers playing a lot with his friends.

When asked about his role models, Radhey Shyam says that his father is his role model, who taught him not to waste anything and to effectively use the resources available to him. He shares that he lives in a joint family and is grateful to have the support of his family members in every situation.

Radhey Shyam advises everyone to move towards spirituality. He believes that education and experience are both important, and we should learn from our elders about their experiences too, as they might help us in the future.
