An interior designer passionate about cycling and running, Rachana feels that there is no age bar for achieving your dreams in life.

Rachana Vijay is an Interior Designer from Jaipur who runs her own venture named Rachana- The Creation. She is also a runner, a cyclist, and a motivator.

Rachana shares that she was a naughty child in her childhood and used to play with her siblings. She says that her interests evolved over time. She wanted to be an advocate but got into the medical field. However, after not getting much success in that field, she got into the arts field and decided to use her creative mind in the field of interior design.

Talking about her struggles, Rachana says that life is nothing without struggles. Rachana shares that she got placed in Adlabs and also got an opportunity in Gurugram but could not join due to her family obligations. However, she regrets nothing and feels that there is no perfect time to achieve her dreams.

Sharing about her role models, Rachana says that there cannot be bigger role models than our parents. Rachana says that her father and father-in-law are her role models. She says that both of them struggled in their lives and built their lives from rock bottom.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Rachana says that experience coupled with confidence is the key to success in life. She feels that with experience anything can be achieved in life. Rachana says that experience helps in creating life stories that can be shared with our younger generation.

Rachana says that her success mantra is to explore oneself and not get lost in the maze of life.

When asked about her achievements, Rachana says that her first achievement was to design her own home the way she had always wanted to. Also, Rachana says that following her passion for being a marathon runner and cyclist after recovering from paralysis is also an achievement for her. She has won 350 plus medals and more than twelve trophies in this field.

Rachana feels that she is a born leader as she always used to guide others at her home. She feels that even her in-laws take her advice seriously which makes her feel proud.

If given a time machine, Rachana would like to go back in time and become an advocate which she always desired to do. Rachana also desires to bring back her elder sister whom she lost in 2016.

Regarding her COVID-19 experience, Rachana says it taught us the importance of family, finances, and fitness. Rachana shares that she used to exercise at home and experiment with cooking new recipes. She also laments the loss of many close people during the COVID time.

Rachna feels that we should never keep ‘What Ifs’ in our lives and live in the moment.

In her free time, Rachana likes to follow her hobbies like dancing, singing, cooking, and spending time with her kids. She also likes going out with her friends and going on long drives.
