Rajesh Panjwani is a yoga instructor and the owner of R Panjwanis Power Yoga Fitness Studio. He is also a member of the Yoga Shreya Yog Foundation and has been in this field for 23 years.

Rajhesh completed his education in yoga at Yog Vidya Dham, Nashik. Later, he pursued his Yog diploma from the Yashwantrao Open University.

Recalling his childhood, Rajesh says he came from a lower-middle-class background. He used to be a calm student. He dropped out of school after his 10th standard because of several issues. Then he started helping his father in their general store. He never thought of joining the field of yoga when he was a child. Due to increased competition in the retail business, he started working at his uncle's sweets business. He stepped into yoga along with working at the sweet shop of his uncle.

Sharing his journey, Rajesh says he used to be underweight and suffered from different diseases. Someone suggested that he do yoga, and from that point on, he started his yoga journey. He did various courses in yoga and also started providing yoga teaching services to the people. Later, he thought of opening his own yoga institute, but the impact of COVID-19 delayed it.

Talking about his challenges, Rajesh says he had to work alone in the sweet shop when others went on leave. It was challenging, and managing yoga along with work was creating further difficulties for him. However, his uncles supported him and allowed him to take a break at work. Finally, he decided to leave his job and continue his career in yoga.

Sharing his accomplishments, Rajesh says his greatest accomplishment is being satisfied with his work and life.

When asked about his mistakes, Rajesh says he used to work with an organization but left it and started his work individually, which was a mistake. Working more with the organization would have been beneficial to him. Furthermore, he also wants to contribute to society through the Yoga Shreya Yog Foundation. However, he has not been able to find time for it due to his busy schedule, which he regrets.

Rajesh says there is a lot more to learn in yoga, as it is not just about physical health; it also deals with mental and spiritual health.

Suggesting to the youth, Rajesh says the field of yoga has vast opportunities that will help the students pursue a career in yoga. The celebration of Yoga Day by Prime Minister Narendra Modi also created a lot of awareness about it among the people. Furthermore, he suggests not practicing yoga by watching videos, as it doesn’t provide us with proper knowledge.

In his free time, Rajesh likes cycling and playing the flute.
