Pushpendra Sharma has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at Dr. Sharma’s Pet Clinic. He belongs to Ram Nagar Village in Bansur Tehsil of Alwar district. He did his schooling from his village itself and did his senior secondary in agriculture at Tehsil level. Then he did his Diploma from Veterinary College in Udaipur and graduated from M.L.S.U.
Pushpendra says after completing his veterinary diploma, he started his field practice in Udaipur itself. Then he joined Saras Dairy, Udaipur as a Live Stock Assistant in a Ration Balancing Project which was run by NDDB, Gujarat and under that project, he did tagging for around twenty thousand animals. Also, they manufactured area specific mineral mixtures for its supply to the local areas and they distributed around four tons annually which improved fertility greatly.
Pushpendra says that he came in contact with Dr. Giriraj Sharma and started working under his direction as a Veterinary Assistant at his clinic for stray and other animals. Further, he wants to work on a campaign of vaccinating all the street dogs of Udaipur by Anti-rabies vaccine free of cost. He gives us their helpline number to call whenever there is any mishap with any street dog for their treatment.
Pushpendra shares an incident of a cow’s accident in his village due to which he chose veterinary as his field for career. That incident gave a different perspective to his life and his attitude changed towards the environment such that he thought of doing something along with nature. After that he made some principles that he doesn’t cut plant and trees and is strongly against the atrocities towards children, women and animals
Pushpendra says that ever since he started working in Saras Dairy, Dr. Giriraj Sharma has been his role model as under his direction Pushpendra could understand what is the real need of animals and where have we reached so far. He learned all these things under Giriraj’s guidance only and due to his inspiration, Pushpendra has reached here today. Also, he is highly inspired by Swami Vivekanand and APJ Abdul Kalam.
During the Covid period Pushpendra stayed in Udaipur only. He says he had only one goal at that time to serve the animals. He feels that the government should do something for animals like opening institutions and increasing some facilities to safeguard animals.
The biggest secret of Pushpendra’s success is that he never stops working hard. He enjoys creativity in his work and gets relief by serving animals. So his success mantra is that you keep working hard and God will bless you with everything.
Pushpendra advises the newcomers that instead of thinking about yourself, think about your nation, state, society and animals. You should do good work for animals, get good education and knowledge and give knowledge to people, always try to be the helping and giving hand then surely you will get something good in return.
Whenever he gets free time, he likes to write, listen and recite shayaris, ghazals and poems.
