Purushottam hails from the Rajsamand district. He completed his secondary schooling in his birthplace before moving to Udaipur for higher studies at Guru Gobind School. He later graduated from Mohanlal Sukhadia University in Udaipur. Then he enrolled in B.Ed. and also prepared for REET simultaneously.
Purushottam feels that in order to land a decent job, it is necessary to have a graduate degree, but then again, experience also plays an important part as it teaches the person the practical ways of life, which ultimately brings in more opportunities.
Purushottam says that while growing up, he faced many problems. As he was from a rural background, it was difficult for him to cope with the city. He also faced financial problems as his father was a driver. Purushottam says that despite a low-paying job, his father continued to struggle and support his education, which motivated him to pursue higher studies. He says that because of that support, he is in a stable position in life. He also says that one should face obstacles with strength and try to overcome them with all that they've got.
Purushottam, after his graduation, wished to work in the private sector, but having a background in the education department, he joined Pacific University. Purushotam says that Pacific University has a very good and supportive environment, which allowed him to learn and become a better person step by step.
If he could go back in time, Purushottam would like to rewind his life by six years and focus more on his studies. He feels that he took that time for granted and believes that if he had been more sincere, he would have achieved more in today's world.
When asked about his role models, Purushottam considers his parents his role models, as without them and their support, he could not have achieved what he has. He also looks up to the director of the Pacific Institute, who inspires him to achieve great things in life.
Purushottam likes to sing in his free time.
