A lecturer at a fashion institute in Udaipur, Purnima’s interest in teaching developed after high school. She values her teaching role, having overcome challenges to reach this point, and advises aspiring fashion enthusiasts to consider various opportunities beyond just being a designer.

Purnima Sharma is employed as a lecturer at the Venkteshwar Institute of Fashion Technology and Mass Communication in Udaipur, where she imparts knowledge on drafting and garment construction to students.

Her interest in the teaching profession developed after completing her class 12.

Talking about her childhood, Purnima says she remembers growing up in Udaipur, and  has fond memories of that time.

She looks up to her husband as her role model because he faced many tough times in life but never gave up.

Given the challenges she has faced in her own life, Purnima relates to a song that says, "Zindagi kaisi hai paheli haaye, kabhi ye hasaye, kabhi ye rulaye."

Purnima feels proud of her job as a lecturer because she had to overcome many challenges to get there.

She advises people interested in Fashion Design to explore various opportunities in addition to becoming a fashion designer, like opening their own clothing store.

Purnima’s message to young people is to spend less time on social media and focus more on their studies.
