A PhD Research Scholar in Geography at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Puneet is a graduate of Rajasthan University, Jaipur, and qualified as a NET JRF in the subject. He is currently preparing for lectureship exams and aims to become an administrator in five years.

Puneet Gautam is a PhD Research Scholar in Geography at Mohanlal Sukhadia University. Born and brought up in Bundi district of Rajasthan, he completed his primary education there, and thereafter, until his undergraduate studies, he studied in Karoni.

Having studied subjects like Geography, Sanskrit, and English Literature in his bachelor's, Puneet had an inclination towards geography and decided to take it up for his post-graduation, which he completed at Rajasthan University, Jaipur. He has also qualified for the NET JRF in the subject.

Puneet is currently preparing for lecturership exams and secured an 8th rank at the state level in his school days, which he considers an achievement. His PhD topic is groundwater quality, wherein he is researching the impact water quality could have on the people of his district.

Puneet also has an inclination towards being a civil servant and sees himself as an administrator five years down the line. He takes his inspiration from civil servants and politicians and has inculcated certain leadership traits in them. For Puneet, a good leader is someone who brings everyone together as a team.

Puneet considers Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam his role model and admires his multi-dimensional personality. He mentions a quote by him that says, "To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goal". Puneet also draws inspiration from Rahul Dravid and is trying to walk on his footprints to win in the last innings of his life.

During the pandemic, Puneet shares that his studies got disrupted for a while but soon got back to normal.

He considers playing cricket and listening to music to be his hobbies.

If Puneet could go back in time in a time machine, he would like to relive his childhood days, which were stress-free as compared to his present.
