Puja identified her interest in music at quite an early stage in life. She studied music for many years and is now passing on her knowledge to future singers.

Puja Kumari is a vocal music teacher at Ragashree Academy of Dance & Music. She belongs to Ranchi and has been in the music field for fifteen years now.

Recalling her childhood, Puja says that she spent her early days in Bihar, where she also learnt the art of music. She has been learning music since 4th standard and further built her confidence by participating in school competitions. Puja is a graduate in music from Allahabad.

When asked about her role models, Puja says she draws her inspiration from Arun Kumar Bachchan, her music guru and mentor. She got into the music field because of her parents, who had a great interest in music. Puja is equally inspired by the late Lata Mangeskar.

Puja's mantra for success lies in her hard work and consistent practice. She says that one should never resort to shortcuts to achieve success in life.

Puja advises all parents to identify their children’s interests and encourage them to pursue them. She advises aspiring singers to practise on a daily basis. Puja suggests they stay dedicated and follow a disciplined routine.

In her free time, Puja likes to do gardening, which is her source of solace.
