Prof. Vibha Tiwari teaches Electronics & Communication at Medi-Caps University, Indore. She has been a faculty member at the university for the last 20 years.
For the last three years, she has also been working as the Controller of Examinations at the university. She is in charge of organising the exams and handling the copy checking and viewing work. As the controller of exams she is responsible for releasing the results and listening to and resolving the grievances of the students.
Prof. Vibha Tiwari explains that the students mainly have concerns with their exam score. Students who approach the department are provided full assistance in resolving their issues and re-evaluation is done if required. In addition, the department also provides transcripts, provisional degree certificates, etc. The department assists students in providing all the documentation they need in order to pursue further education overseas.
Prof. Vibha states that she specialises in teaching Microprocessors and Controllers. She has always coached the students and put in a lot of effort working on their projects with them. She has recently started teaching Data Communication and Computer Networks and she loves teaching students of the university.
Prof. Vibha lists working as the Forum Coordinator for IT students and organising activities for them as one of her accomplishments. Due to her diligent work, she was promoted as Head of the Electronics Department, where she collaborated with the faculty. She has also held the positions of First-year Incharge, Research Incharge, and is now working as the Controller of Examinations. She was awarded the Best Faculty Award by ‘Srijan’ and also by the Institute twice.
Prof. Vibha shares that teaching is her passion and that she has loved studying since she was a little child. Her primary motivation behind choosing teaching as a career is that she enjoys sharing her thoughts with the students, which makes her quite happy.
Prof. Vibha shares that she originally belonged to Lucknow but completed her primary education from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. After spending some memorable years there, she relocated to Indore. She did her schooling from St. Raphael’s Girls Higher Secondary School, Indore. Then she completed Bachelor of Engineering from Aurangbad and Master of Engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore as well as PhD from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore.
When asked about her role models, Prof. Tiwari states that she prefers to grow on her own and does not have a specific role model. However, a lot of individuals, including her parents, mentors, PhD advisors, and the bosses she has worked for, have always encouraged her.
The quote “Action speaks louder than a thousand words” motivates her the most and she firmly believes in this saying. She asserts that no matter how high or low life takes you, you must simply keep going.
Though Prof. Vibha did not have to face any difficulties in her life, she believes in working hard. The secret to success, according to her, is to work hard and consistently if you want to succeed in your job.
