She used to coach at a gym but is currently working as a freelancer, taking home sessions, as well as providing her services in rehab centres. Priyanka primarily caters to the 50-65 age group and helps them with yoga, diet consultation, and exercises with minimum equipment in the comfort of their homes.
Moze also takes online sessions and runs her programmes under the Instagram handle ‘Yoga With Priyankaa’ with a focus on diet, yoga, strength training, and cardio, providing clients with a complete package.
Priyanka shares that her inspiration to enter the fitness field began with her love for sports as a child. After taking a two-year break from fitness regimes, she returned to the gym with renewed vigour and has been dedicated to it for the past seven years. Priyanka is passionate about debunking the myth that women will develop bulky bodies like men by going to the gym. She explains that achieving such physiques typically involves the use of steroids and supplements, which are not part of her approach to fitness coaching.
Talking about her educational qualifications, Priyanka shares that she grew up in Pune and completed her education there. She is a Graduate in Microbiology from Garware College, Pune. Later, as she didn’t want to pursue an MSc, she changed her field. On that note, Priyanka assures that it is never too late to follow your passions and interests.
Reflecting back on her childhood days, Moze remembers going to a pandit ji as a 10-year-old and being told that she would get into the teaching field. At that point in time, Priyanka doubted herself, and five years down the line, she found herself in the teaching profession as a health coach.
When asked about her role models, Priyanka shares that she considers her parents an inspiration, as they were the ones who supported her to make a career in the fitness field. As a health coach and trainer, she was often questioned by people about her career choice. Priyanka shares that it is only now that women are also actively becoming fitness trainers.
Priyanka Moze aims to dispel the myth that being a health coach isn't a full-time profession. She emphasises that health coaching is just as legitimate and impactful as traditional careers like those of doctors and engineers.
She finds inspiration in the quote, “It’s never too late to become what you want to be.” On that note, she shares that it was only after several career shifts that she found her true calling.
Discussing her achievements, Priyanka shares fond memories of her time working at Deenanath Hospital. Many elderly patients, whose children lived abroad, treated her like their own daughter and often brought her gifts. These moments still bring a smile to her face.
In addition to being a health coach, Priyanka Moze is also an avid marathon runner. She recently completed a 35-kilometre race and is delighted to have connected with diverse individuals who share the same passion.
Advising fitness enthusiasts and aspiring health coaches, Priyanka says that it is a full-time profession and people can enrol in relevant courses to get into this field.
She advises women to practise strength training and indulge in any form of physical activity that will only benefit them in the future. She adds that being physically active also helps females during their menstruation and menopause and helps them lead healthier lives.
