Priyanka has been in the field of education for the last fifteen years, and now she is working  as an online educator as well. She always follows the principle of Go Green.

Priyanka Mathur is an Associate Professor at Manipal University, Jaipur.

Priyanka was always interested in the field of academics, but initially she worked with the software development industry, as she is a software engineer by education. She says, when she started her career, the software companies in Rajasthan were not very big, so she opted for teaching as a profession and is still enjoying it.

Recalling her childhood, Priyanka says that she had a very nice and well-rounded upbringing because her father was a doctor and her mother was a homemaker. Her parents constantly encouraged and supported her to seize the possibilities she desired. She feels fortunate to have completed her education at Sophia Senior Secondary School, Ajmer. Then she went to Delhi for her post-graduation and got a chance to work with a reputed software company.

Priyanka shares that one problem that she faced when she was a teenager and building her career was that she didn’t get proper guidance to choose non-conventional career options. She regrets that she might have chosen a better career option if she had been counselled and guided properly.

Admitting her mistakes, Priyanka says that we learn from our mistakes, but sometimes it costs us a lot. She admits that she should have been more focused in her teen years on deciding her career option. Initially, she was a science student, then she migrated to commerce and then again came back to the science stream, which cost her a little bit. Secondly, she left her Central Government job and moved to a different city, so she admits that lack of focus is the mistake that she always made.

Sharing her accomplishments, Priyanka says that she has two types of achievements: one is professional, and the other is personal. In terms of her professional life, she is an efficient person and an approachable colleague, as well as a good team leader. In her personal life, she says that she is a very proud mother of two daughters, which is an achievement for her.

Priyanka admires Ratan Tata as he took the initiative of awarding even the best failed ideas in his m companies and startups, and he taught people that it is okay to fail in life, you should always try to work hard.

In her spare time, Priyanka loves to do gardening. She is also interested in reading books, travelling, and travel blogging.

To attain mental peace, Priyanka likes to meditate and listen to soothing music.

Priyanka’s success mantra is that it's not about years to life; it's life to years. She says that we should utilise every moment of life. She tries to maintain equilibrium between her work, family, and friends.

Advising the young generation, Priyanka says that they should keep themselves away from the distractions that are present in today’s times, like social media. Youngsters should use social media for searching and upgrading, but not as a distraction. Secondly, they should focus on their core strengths and weaknesses at the time of choosing their career options.
