Priyanka Jhalora is an Assistant Professor at PCBAS in PAHER University.
Priyanka hails from Udaipur. She did her schooling at RMV, Udaipur and then pursued her graduation at MG College. She got married during her graduation and later did her B.Ed followed by a PG from Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute, which she did after five years of her marriage. She decided to make her career in the teaching field as it allowed her to efficiently manage her family and work life and did M.Ed as well.
Priyanka began teaching at the Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute as a guest faculty right after completing her M.Ed from there. She then moved to Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic Institute. She later did Ph.D too and then began teaching in Pacific University.
Priyanka says that starting her education again was not very smooth for her due to family responsibilities but her in-laws’ support was crucial to her journey.
Talking about her inspirations, Priyanka says that she got inspiration from the negative comments that she used to hear from society regarding girl education. She says that it motivated her to prove that women can also create milestones in education if they want to. She says that seeing her, many girls began pursuing higher education which was quite rare earlier.
Comparing the role of education and experience in life, Priyanka says that while both are important, experience is more crucial to success.
Sharing her COVID experience, Priyanka says that it gave her free time to think of life from a different perspective.
Advising the younger generation, Priyanka says that you should focus on practical knowledge of the subject that you are studying. She also advises all the women out there to educate themselves as it benefits their whole family.
