After working in the Airline Industry for about nine years, Priyanka decided to switch her career to the field of Yoga where she had found her solace.

Priyanka Dave is a certified Yoga Trainer and Social Media Influencer.

Currently based in Mumbai, Priyanka originally belongs to Rajasthan. She grew up in Mumbai and recalls having spent a better part of her childhood in the temple where her father was a priest.

Priyanka began her professional journey in 2013, as an Air Hostess. After exploring the world for a better part of nine years, she quit her job to start her career in the field of Yoga. Priyanka says that she chose Yoga because during that period, she was going through a difficult phase in her personal as well as social life, and Yoga proved to be a definite boon to her mental peace.

It has been three years that Priyanka has been teaching Yoga and plans to take it to the next level in the coming years by starting her own Yoga studio. Along with that, she has also taken up to promote Rajasthani culture by being a social media influencer. She says that she has been brought up with the values of respecting our own roots. Her love for Rajasthani culture, which is natural given it is her native place, is evident in her social media posts. She started receiving appreciation for it which motivated her to step it up and start a dedicated Instagram page called “Marwadi Udanpari”.

Priyanka says she has had her share of struggles. She shares that when she was in her tenth standard, her father was diagnosed with Brain Tumour which caused his demise after two years. She says that it was an extremely difficult period for the whole family, however she didn’t let her studies get affected by that and passed her school with good marks. She also decided to help out her elder brother with family responsibilities and thus she joined Indigo AIrlines as an air hostess. Even after that, problems didn’t stop coming at her but she faced them with resilience and made it out successfully.

Talking about her role models, Priyanka says that her late father is her role model, who taught her humility and to never give up. She says that she is the exact replica of her father inheriting his kindness and righteousness. She also gets inspired by the people who are actively contributing to society in their own capacities.

Sharing her experience of the COVID pandemic, Priyanka says that during the initial phase of the lockdown she, her mother, and her pregnant sister-in-law were stuck at her home in Rajasthan without any male member of the family. She says that it was very difficult to get rations and other services, however, her company was a huge support to her at that time. She also faced pressure economically as her brother had lost his job during the lockdown and she had to carry the entire responsibility of the family. Despite all this, she didn’t give up and sailed through it.

Although Priyanka likes being busy, when she gets free time, she likes visiting orphanages and old age homes to teach Yoga. She says that she feels inner satisfaction while spending time there. She also likes making innovative content to promote Rajsthani culture.

Advising the young generation, Priyanka says that you should never fight with your parents to follow your dreams but should rather seek their permission with decency. She further adds that the youth should keep working on their personality. And advising the aspiring cabin crew candidates, she says that you should gain the required education for the job and get a good grip over Hindi and English language, before applying for the job.
