Priyanka Chaudhary is a physical education teacher at Vedic Girls Senior Secondary School. She is also in the field of Judo.
Priyanka says she was born in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, but raised in Chandigarh. She completed her schooling at the 21 Model School. Later, she graduated from MCM DAV College.
Priyanka says she was good at sports and started learning Judo when she was in second grade. She decided to pursue her career in sports and obtained her Master’s in Physical Education from Punjab University.
Sharing her journey, Priyanka says she started working as a physical education teacher at Sri Guru Harkrishan School. Afterwards, she went to Malaysia and provided physical education at the ELC International School. She came back to India and worked at St. Kabir Public School. After three years, she got a government job at Vedic Girls Senior Secondary School as a physical education teacher.
Priyanka says that physical education is very important for the students as it helps with their overall development. She believes that this subject is as important as other subjects such as science and mathematics.
When asked about her role model, Priyanka says her coach Govind Singh inspired her to practice judo, and since her brother also used to do judo, she also takes inspiration from him. Furthermore, she also considers all the female athletes as her role models.
Priyanka’s success mantra is "education and determination."
Advising the young generation, Priyanka says you need to focus and be determined towards your goals in order to achieve success. She believes that both sports and education are important for overall growth. She believes that the youth is the future of our country, so she advises them to have a clear goal and support the development of the country.
If she gets a time machine to go back in time and is able to change one thing, Priyanka says she would bring her mother and childhood back because she misses both.
Sharing about her achievements, Priyanka says she has won 72 medals in Judo, out of which she has won gold for eight years continuously. She also won a silver medal in the senior national competition. She also won a silver medal in college weightlifting competitions for five years.
