Priyank Shrivastava was born in Shahdol, Madhya pradesh. He has done his BA-LLB from National Law University, Odisha.
He is the Co-founder of ‘Stand You’ along with his friend Rajesh Sharma. Talking about his venture, Priyank says that they guide students to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate courses in foreign universities.
Priyank shares that they have created a data-driven platform that helps students do research and find a suitable university for themselves. With the focus on giving the students the perfect match to their capabilities and preferences, he says that their platform is informative and interactive in its approach. Priyank states that after seeing a success rate of about 0.5 percent in Indian competitive examinations, he thought of opening more opportunities for the youth.
Priyank shares that his family is a middle-class family. His father is an Advocate and his mother is a Teacher. He feels that it was his parent's support that always pushed him to start something new and viable in life. He also mentions his mausi for her support and motivation.
Priyank points out that the world we live in is a digital world. Digital technology provides you an opportunity to reach out to millions in just seconds. This was the reason Priyank chose to start something online. After his previously failed startups, Priyank was not left with much capital. However, with determination and passion, he started ‘Stand You’. Soon, he started getting good responses from parents and students. He has also collaborated with many IIT-JEE coaching institutes as well.
His advice to people who want to start a business of their own is to research extensively. He says that we should learn from case studies of why a company failed in the past or why it succeeded. Reading more and more about the market and customer demands helps in building a good foundation to start a business.
Priyank feels that a good leader takes advice from everyone and then makes decisions. Consulting teammates motivates them and makes them feel important.
Priyank thinks that Education helps in making the character of a person and creating a mindset while Experience is important to work in the field. He says that there are many successful entrepreneurs who have not had formal education and still have succeeded in life.
In his free time, Priyank likes reading entrepreneurial books and biographies of successful business personalities.
