Priyal Bhatt is an actor and a model. With a passion for acting and modelling, she has been making waves in the industry for the past six years. Within a short span of time, she has achieved remarkable success, winning numerous titles at a young age, including national and state-level titles. Priyal has showcased her acting skills in movies, television dramas, and advertisements.
Priyal says that her interest in the performing arts stemmed from her childhood, influenced by her mother's aspirations to become an actor and dancer. At the age of four, Priyal was enrolled in dance classes. However, it was when she watched a Gujarati play during her tenth grade that she realised her true calling in acting.
Growing up in a filmy household, Priyal had a friendly and supportive atmosphere. They communicated using dialogues, adding a touch of theatricality to their conversations. She also cherishes having supportive friends who have been there for her throughout her journey.
Priyal says that she faced challenges when she relocated from Bhavnagar to Ahmedabad in 2019 to pursue her acting career. Initially aiming to become an RJ, fate led her to theatre and eventually modelling. She went on to win titles like Miss Bhavnagar, Miss Gujarat, and Miss India, which opened doors for her in movies and television. She trained herself to walk gracefully in 6-inch heels and dedicated hours to practise in front of a mirror. The demanding schedule during pageants often deprived her of sleep, but she persevered, engaging in intense gym workouts and shedding excess weight.
Reflecting on her overall experience, Priyal feels fortunate to have encountered minimal discrimination or humiliation, although she acknowledges that some instances did occur. However, she was mentally prepared to face such challenges.
Talking about her mistakes, Priyal says that one of her mistakes was comparing herself to other pageant contestants, which led to a loss of confidence. Nevertheless, she has learned from that experience and now focuses on her own performance.
Priyal's role models include her mother, who inspired her from the start, and her 10th-grade tuition teacher, Hitesh Sir, who served as a second parent. Additionally, her first modelling teacher, Manas Sharma, provided immense motivation. Among celebrity role models, Priyal has a lot of admiration for Sushmita Sen.
Beyond acting and modelling, Priyal has a wide range of hobbies including dancing, singing, painting, rifle shooting, skating, and reading books.
To combat depression, Priyal finds solace by spending time on the terrace of her house or sitting by the serene Sabarmati Riverfront, allowing herself to unwind and find inner peace.
Priyal's life mantra revolves around going with the flow and embracing the transient nature of life. During moments of depression, she reminds herself that "this too shall pass."
For those aspiring to enter the acting and modelling field, Priyal, who is also the youngest choreographer in Gujarat, shares three key aspects. Firstly, she advises taking risks with confidence, knowing that even mistakes can go unnoticed. Secondly, cultivating an attitude of self-assuredness, feeling like the king or queen of one's domain. Lastly, maintaining a positive personality by being grounded, humble, and down-to-earth.
