Priya is a homemaker who has a passion for cooking.  She used to make sweets at home which people liked a lot. Taking orders from friends and family, her homemade sweets became a well-known brand and she is currently doing a good business.

Priya Udiniya is a homemaker. Six years back, she started making sweets and gradually started supplying them to friends and family friends. Her sweets have now become a brand called ‘Hundilal Mithai Boutique.’

In 2016, she took the franchise of Keventers and opened two-three outlets in the city, which gave her good benefits for the initial two years. But then gradually other brands came and her business went down. And that’s when she decided to start her own brand and she came up with ‘Hundilal’s Meetha’ in Delhi.

Priya operates her business from home only by promoting it on social media platforms and gets orders from there itself. She wants to make this brand as big as Haldiram in future.

Priya was born and brought up in Delhi and she completed her studies from there itself. She did her graduation and wanted to study further but then she got married into a joint family where she got so involved in household chores and could not study further.

Priya says that due to the closure of all the businesses during the time of Corona, she got very good leverage of it by getting bulk orders at the time of festivals and at that time people wanted homemade sweets rather than from the market. Because of that her business grew a lot.

Whoever wants to enter into this business, Priya advises them to start from home because nowadays people prefer to have home-cooked food and gradually increase their business. She encourages ladies to start something like this of their own if they have talent of cooking and go ahead a long way in this field.

Priya suggests that you do not need much education to get into this field because even if you are not educated yet you can do wonders in this field.

Priya considers her husband as her role model for supporting her a lot and encouraging her to move ahead in life.
