Priya is a salon worker who took proper training before starting to work. She is also a postgraduate and feels education is also important in this field.

Priya Gahlot is working as a hair artist at Mayur Salon, Spa, and Academy.

Priya is from Pali. Her childhood and schooling took place at Marwar Junction. For college, she came to Pali and attended Bangur College and after graduation did P.G. in Hindi Literature. She has been living in Udaipur for the past three years.

Priya says that her mother passed away quite early and she was raised by her grandmother. After her demise, she shifted to Udaipur and started training in the salon field.

When asked about her role models, Priya says that her cousin who inspired her to come into this field is her role model. She taught Priya the initial work in the field and hence Priya is inspired by her.

Talking about her COVID-19 experience, Priya says that it was a bad phase and she had just started learning the salon work. It resulted in a long gap in learning and also delayed her job initiation.

Priya dreams of opening her own salon one day and wants to become a big name in this field.

If given a time machine, Priya would like to live her teenage years again as she used to enjoy a lot with her friends.

Priya opines that both education and experience are necessary for the grooming field. Education helps in learning client handling and also helps in understanding new tech emerging in this field is what she feels.

Priya advises the youth with a keen interest in the field to definitely join the salon line.

Priya says that she follows the teachings of Lord Krishna and feels that if our Karma is well placed and we work honestly, success will definitely be achieved.
