Prince Diamond is the franchise owner of Marky Momos, a Chinese cuisine restaurant that has been in existence for over three years now. As the name suggests, Momos is the forte dish of the famous franchise, however other dishes like pasta, noodles, pizza, burger and sandwiches are also liked by people, as shared by Prince.
Born and brought up in Ajmer, Prince has done his schooling from St. Paul’s School and has done Bachelor in Arts from Government College, Ajmer. He has completed his MBA from IMT Ghaziabad.
Prince started his career journey way back in 2004 and has spent more than fifteen years in the job sector. His last job was with Jio as a Branch Manager, Chittorgarh. Later he decided to shift to the food industry and took over Marky Momos which was being run by his friend.
Talking about hardships, Prince shares that Corona was a difficult phase for everyone with businesses being crashed and the food industry, in particular, being badly hit. He shares that his staff ran away and during those times, his inner strength and honesty helped him survive. Prince believed in the saying that “This too shall pass”, and very soon people started to order from his restaurant and the lost faith was established.
Prince comes from a disciplined family since his grandfather was in the army and he was raised by his grandparents. He gives credit to his grandparents for whatever he and his siblings have achieved to date.
He believes himself to be his own role model and looks at himself in the mirror to see the person he is today and was yesterday and wishes to become a better person with every passing day.
Between education and experience, Prince believes that experience is everything in life by substantiating it with an example. He says that with the same educational qualification he could not get much salary in his first job, however, with experience of around 15 years, his salary increased manifold.
Prince stands by hardwork and honesty as two important factors to succeed in life. His success mantra is “Never say die” and he is greatly inspired by the movie Finding Nemo which says “Whenever in tough times, keep swimming.” He shares that nothing stays forever in life, hence the hardships will end too and so the good times.
If Prince were to fly back in a time machine, he would stick to his very first job and grow exponentially both in terms of salary and position.
Talking about leadership, Prince says that people are born leaders and leadership is a skill set which cannot be learnt. According to him,a leader should be able to guide how work should be performed and be hardworking and honest so that people listen to him/her.
In his free time, Prince likes to indulge in music and singing. He had also auditioned for the first season of the popular TV show Indian Idol, and received the crowd award.
