Prerna Joshi is a Teacher at Rockwoods High School.
Prerna hails from Udaipur. She did her schooling from St. Teresa’s Sr. Sec. School. Then she pursued her BSc at Guru Nanak Girls PG College, Udaipur. She wanted to join the administrative services so she began preparing for the RAS exam and simultaneously began pursuing MA in History.
Prerna appeared for the RAS exam and cleared the first stage but couldn’t go through with the second stage. She also appeared for the Vedanta exam and cleared it too, but didn’t join it as she had decided to make her career in the education field by then.
Prerna began her journey by working for two years at Central Academy and followed it by working for one and a half years at St. Anthony’s Sr. Sec. School. She eventually joined Rockwoods High School and is very content with her job at the school. She says that she likes teaching and working at Rockwoods as this school has given her immense opportunities to grow herself along with her students.
Talking about the struggles in her life, Prerna says that the first one was when she dropped the opportunity to go to Delhi to perapere for her RAS exam in favour of tending to her hospitalised grandmother. The second testing period in her life was when her mother became COVID positive and the family got discouraged. She says that she didn’t lose hope and took good care of her mother and emboldened her family as well and eventually her mother recovered.
Prerna considers her father as her role model. She says that her father is perfect in all respects and she feels proud to be her daughter.
Given a chance to go back in time with a time machine, Prerna would like going back to her childhood when his grandfather was alive to spend some time with him.
Advising the younger generation, Prerna says that do not fall prey to superficial definitions of depression and live an active life. She also advises parents to not over-pamper their children. She further advises the youth to study well and respect their parents.
On a final note, Prerna thanks her parents, her husband, and the school administration to have always supported her in her life.
