Prerna is a teacher and feels that teaching has helped her gain her individuality in life. She focuses on the weakest student and is a spiritual person at heart.

Prerna Jain is working as a PGT-Geography at Alok Senior Secondary School, Rajsamand. She joined Alok School in 2001 when it opened in Rajsamand. She feels that teaching at Alok School gave her self-respect and individuality in life.

Prerna hails from Ajmer. She attended Sophia College in Ajmer and has done M.A. and B.Ed.

Prerna shares a vivid recollection of her childhood and says that her parents were very fun-loving and they would go out for picnics and watch movies. Prerna also loved playing the Sitar and performed many stage shows during her early days.

Talking about her role models, Prerna says that Acharya Shyamlal Kumawat, Chairperson of Alok Sansthan, is her role model. She learned many things from Acharya Ji and his meetings and discussions with the staff used to be the most enlightening ones.

Advising the students, Prerna says that Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam used to suggest students say five things to themselves every morning: I am the best, I can do it, God is always with me, I am a winner and Today is my day. Prerna feels that students should follow this and always keep moving ahead in life with confidence.

Prerna adds that she always teaches her students to be disciplined and particular in life. She also tries to help the weakest student score well and do well in their studies.

Sharing her experiences of the COVID pandemic, Prerna says that though it was a very bad time for everyone, she likes to look at the positive side of it like she had a good time with her family and became tech-savvy as well.

Prerna advises the youth to dream high in life and not just sit back. If they work hard and try wholeheartedly to achieve their goals, they will definitely achieve success is what Prerna feels.

Prerna shares that she is a spiritual person as well. She follows Sri Sri Ravishankar and practices Sudarshan Kriya on a daily basis.

Prerna shares that in her free time, she likes to do many things like listening to classical music and bhajans, gardening, stitching, embroidery, and cooking.
