An enthusiastic teacher, Preeti is committed to maintaining high standards of education with an emphasis on the overall development of her students.

Preeti Pillai is a PGT at Central Public School, Udaipur. She has been teaching at CPS for the past six years.

Preeti was born and raised in Udaipur. Her entire school education was completed at St. Gregorios School in Udaipur. She completed her graduation and post-graduation at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, and she also holds a B.Ed. degree.

Talking about her childhood, Preeti says she used to be the naughtiest child in the family. She was a bright student and thus the favorite of her teachers. She was famous among her friends as a trustworthy friend with whom they could share anything and ask for advice.

Speaking about her COVID experience, Preeti says the pandemic time was really difficult for everyone across the world. She believes the lockdown made most of us and our families safe from the virus. Additionally, she says she is thankful to her coordinator, Mr. Sunil Babel, for teaching and mentoring her to learn and become tech-savvy enough to conduct online classes effectively, as she was initially nervous about taking online classes. She started practicing meditation and yoga as per the advice of her director, Ms. Alka Sharma, during this pandemic.

When asked about her role models in life, Preeti mentions her mother, whom she calls the “Great Wall of China" as her role model. She says she would like to have her mother’s energy level and her approach to resolving any problem in life. Additionally, she says she learns from every person who enters her life.

In her spare time, Preeti enjoys visiting new places and spending time with her kids and mother.

Preeti says if she could get a Time Machine to travel back in time, she would relive her childhood.

Preeti suggests that the youth should follow their passion and put all their hearts into it to find success in it. She urges the youth not to come under pressure from either peer groups or their families' high expectations.

Preeti says her success mantra is to follow what she feels is right despite opposition from the world. She believes that one day people will understand your point of view, and that day you will be appreciated for your courage.
