Preeti Pamecha originally hails from Udaipur. She studied at St. Mary’s School and did her B.Sc. and MBA from MLSU, Udaipur. Besides, she has also taken some certification courses relevant to the IT sector. She worked in the IT sector for ten years. Later, when she moved back to India, she took up yoga as her profession.
Preeti says that when she was in the US, she faced multiple health issues. She decided to adopt a healthy lifestyle. She changed her diet. She adds that she likes to dance, and once she was dancing, she had severe pain in her shoulders. She was asked to go through physiotherapy and medication. And after the birth of her second baby, her health further deteriorated. She was juggling roles as a working woman, wife, and mother, and it was taking a toll on her health. Keeping all these in mind, she and her husband decided that she would move back to India with her kids. After coming back to India, she took a teacher training course in yoga and got certified in it.
During the pandemic, when Preeti was staying at home, she thought of doing something productive. She always loved writing. She started writing about her journey of moving back to India and her experiences thereafter. She started writing with the aim of helping those who are in a dilemma with regard to their decision to move back to their country.
According to Preeti, yoga is not just about exercising a couple of hours a day; rather, it’s a lifestyle. Besides, she says that when you take yoga, don’t compare yourself to others, as everybody is different and has a different body. So what postures others can do doesn’t necessarily mean that you too will be able to perform them right at the onset.
During the pandemic, Preeti realized that alongside her work, she could also take care of her kids, perform household chores, and do other tasks. So she says that the pandemic worked out for her.
If Preeti could go back in time and undo something, she would want to become a doctor, as she always loved biology but chose a different career altogether.
Preeti believes that finding the right balance between education and experience is necessary, as education and experience are both important. Besides, there is always something you can educate yourself about, according to Preeti.
