Pravesh strived hard to bring his music dream into a reality. He has created an identity of his own as an independent musician and performed on the district level. His song was covered by magazines and he has also done Instagram live sessions.

Pravesh Singh is a guitarist, vocalist, and music producer from Jhansi.

Initially, he didn't have the money to pursue music as a career. However, after earning his degree, he realised that music was his true calling and decided to follow it through in whatever capacity. Following that, Pravesh started playing the guitar and singing in a band.

He performed at the district level, and a TV station and FM Indigo both carried a live performance of one of his songs. Publications such as Rolling Stone India also featured his music.

He was writing and recording songs when the shutdown occurred. Pravesh had no shows to perform, and it was a difficult time for independent musicians like him. Therefore, he switched to online mode and started making covers for his YouTube channel.

Pravesh and his friends composed a song called "Waqt ka pal" in which they talk about moving with a lot of hope and no set intentions. Despite having no prior musical expertise, he is the first member of his family to choose music as a vocation. He started watching YouTube footage of musicians and learning from them. He did take some lessons in classical music, but fusion music was his favourite genre. He says the music you listen to has an impact on the music you write.

Speaking candidly about his experiences, Pravesh says that to begin with, he practised major and minor guitar chords using a metronome. Along with practising the 10 ‘Thaats’ of Indian classical music on the guitar, he also learnt classical music from his guru.  He believes that although a teacher may teach the foundations of music, the musician needs to go deeper into the material.

When Pravesh thinks back on his early years, he says he was struggling in school and had never been on stage. After graduating, he started doing karaoke singing and started doing shows in Bhopal and Kanpur.

Among his role models are Bob Marley, AR Rahman, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. His favourite bands include Linkin Park, Nirvana, and Beatallica. He finds inspiration in the Indian Ocean Band.

Pravesh reads a great deal of books written by writers like Gulzar, Dushyant Kumar, Bashir Badr, Nida Fazli, Javed Akhtar, and many more. Hindi literature from India has an impact on him.

Pravesh says an independent artist can compose a song, but he or she cannot employ Bollywood advertising to make it known. He is the host of Pragnya Wakhlu's Heart to Heart Instagram live session series and feels that folk music from various states is not given enough credit.

He likes to read Hindi literature and listen to music in his free time. In addition, he likes to ride, swim, and go on bike vacations. For self-satisfaction, he also planted 100 trees with his pals.
