Not letting his background deter him from dreaming big in life, Praveen strived to fulfill his dream of getting a government job and today he is serving in the Rajasthan Police as a Sub Inspector.

Praveen Rajpurohit is a Sub Inspector with the Rajasthan Police. Currently, he is posted in Dungarpur.

Praveen hails from Jalore, Rajasthan. He completed his school and college education in Jalore itself. Besides his Bachelors, he also did a B.Ed.

Praveen shares that after completing his B.Ed., he started preparing for government job examinations. His first job was as a Second Grade Teacher at a government school. Later, when he got selected for the post of an SI, he left his teaching job and joined the Rajasthan Police.

When asked about his role models, Praveen says he considers his father,  former President APJ Abdul Kalam, and Bhagat Singh, as his ideals and role models. He says that his father always inspired him to do well in life.

Talking about his struggles, Praveen shares that after completing his formal education, he went to Kerala and worked there in some odd jobs. However, later he realized that he was meant to do something else. Along with working in a job, he started preparing for government job examinations. And, after a couple of years of toiling, he was able to get a government job as a Second Grade Teacher and then as a Sub Inspector in the Rajasthan Police.

Giving his opinion on which is more important-education or experience- Praveen says he thinks that if you want to do something in life then your education plays a crucial role. However, he says that your education and family background should not be limiting factors in chasing your goals. He says all you need is the zeal to work hard to achieve your dreams.

Recalling his childhood memories, Praveen says that, as a kid, he would be more interested in playing cricket than his studies, even though his father would constantly scold him to focus on his studies. He laments today that had he focused on his studies more then, he would be in a better position today.

To aspirants who want to join the Police Department, Praveen’s piece of advice is to become self-disciplined in life. He says, working in the police department requires one to be dedicated to their work always and if you’re disciplined in life, you will be able to do your job meticulously.

If he could go back in time via a Time Machine, Praveen would want to become an IPS or RPS officer.

Talking about Covid, Praveen says that during the pandemic, people realized the importance of having good health. Besides, he says that people tried to help one another in those tough times of the pandemic.

In his spare time, Praveen likes to browse social media and spend time with his family.

To people, his message is to keep working hard to achieve your dreams. He says that it takes a lot of hard work, patience, and discipline to achieve your dreams.
