Prashant Tripathi is the owner and partner at Cafe Therapy.
The cafe is based on a European theme. He relaunched the menu, and Indian items were added later because they were popular among customers.
Born in Udaipur, Prashant earned a BA in English and Economics. He also graduated with a bachelor's in hotel management in 1997. In the same year, he started his career at the RajDarshan Hotel. Then he worked at the Taj Hotel in Jodhpur. After that, he worked at Rajkot for a few years before returning to Udaipur. He joined the HRH Group of Hotels and became an executive hospitality staffer at Shiv Niwas Palace, Lake Pichola, Udaipur. He worked there for 15 years. However, he had an interest in starting his own entrepreneurial journey. He resigned from his prestigious job and eventually began establishing a business with the help of his comrades.
For someone wishing to join this profession, Prashant says one must be familiar with handling and treating guests well. One must be well acquainted with social life and aim for maximum customer satisfaction.
His success mantra is to be confident, keep patience, work hard, and have faith in God. One day, success will be achieved.
When asked about his role models, Prashant says that, coming from a middle-class family, he witnessed his father and brother's struggles in life and their achievements, which is why they are his role models.
Many financial and personal issues occurred during the pandemic, he recalls. He adds that the team worked cautiously while sticking to the restrictions since reopening the cafe after the lockdown period ended.
According to Prashant, education is compulsory to get a job in any field. Whereas, experience helps in further promotion and growth in one’s professional career. His future plan is to open a beautiful resort and two or three more restaurants and cafes under his umbrella company, Vibrant Hospitality.
His hobbies are listening to Bollywood songs, playing indoor games, and cricket. As a concluding piece of advice to viewers, he asks them to just believe in themselves.
