Prashant is a Tattoo artist and an animator planning to expand his business in the coming years. With a passion for sketching, Prashant decided to make it his profession and started his tattooing journey in 2011.

Prashant Sahu is a Tattoo artist running his studio ‘Arttitude Tattoos’ in Hyderabad.

Prashant was born and brought up in Nasik. His mother is a Tamilian and his father hails from Odisha. He did his schooling in Nasik and went to Hyderabad for his graduation.

Prashant shares that he was into gymnastics from his childhood. He is a black belt in martial arts and has participated in national and international competitions as well.

Prashant says that he was always interested in the field of animation and did graphic designing. He gained knowledge of many animation softwares which later helped him in his tattooing field by showing customers how a tattoo will look on their body through pre-visualization techniques.

After completing his graduation, Prashant was in a dilemma regarding the field to go into. He decided on the animation field believing it had much scope in the future. However, his earnings came from the simultaneous tattoo work he was doing and eventually he picked tattooing as a full-time career.

Prashant shares that he started by making sketches and selling them. Then he started making temporary tattoos in birthday parties for kids and then decided to learn to make permanent tattoos as well. He started his own studio in 2017.

Talking about his role models, Prashant says that there are many people in his life who have taught him small but effective lessons. The first one is his father who always suggested him on various occasions and Prashant feels that if he would have followed his advice more judiciously, he would have been in a much better place presently. In the tattooing field, he is inspired by Sameer Patange and Sunny Bhanushali. He is also inspired by Elon Musk.

Sharing his experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prashant says that his studio was closed down but he was doing tattoos for some loyal clients with precautions in place. He also improved his skills by learning new techniques online.

On being asked to advise the youth, Prashant says that if they have the passion to learn, they can start by learning the basics of the field from certified tattoo studios. He says that one should initially focus on learning designing work and then get into the inking part.

In his free time, Prashant likes going out with his friends to trek. He is also fond of food and goes to the gym as well.
