Apart from being a practising CA, Prashant has kept his passion for theatre alive by acting in several plays..

Prashant Jangid is a Theatre Artist and a Chartered Accountant in Ahmedabad.

Prashant shares that he has worked in five plays and also did one Gujarati movie, 21 Divas.

Prashant belongs to a small town that is 250 kilometres away from Jaipur. He had been interested in acting since childhood. He completed his schooling until the sixth grade in his village itself. Then he went to Ahmedabad with his father. He was an introverted child and had stage fright because of his stammering. Then, slowly and gradually, he overcame this problem and joined a free workshop for seven days by the Gujarat Sangeet Natak Akademi, and there he got familiar with theatre. In the year 2016, he did his first play, Taj Mahal Ka Tender, in a lead role. He did many other plays in different cities and is still continuing his journey along with his job.

Talking about his journey, Prashant says that it was wonderful as he worked as a lead actor in theatre. Then he worked and participated in many events and plays by making his own choices. He is establishing his roots in Hindi plays and is now known for his work in the theatre industry. He also has a few fans, which is like an achievement for him.

When asked about his challenges, Parashant says that the biggest challenge that he faced was his stammering. But he gradually realised that at the time of dialogue delivery, he didn’t face any problems related to stammering as a rhythm is fixed in it. So he overcame this difficulty very soon. Secondly, his parents were not supportive of him, as they wanted him to do CA instead of acting. He faced many difficulties in convincing his parents and relatives. So he decided to complete his CA course, and then he started acting part-time. He also faced many financial problems, as there was very little income in theatre.

Accepting his mistakes, Prashant says that sometimes he played negative pranks that hurt other people. So he learned that there must be a limit to pranks and that they should not hurt the feelings of others.

Sharing his achievements, Prashant says that running an experimental play with the same team members for the last five years is one of his biggest accomplishments. He has also produced a Gujarati movie.

Prashant’s role model is Pankaj Tripathi, as he admires his life and has learned a lot from him. He also got inspiration from movies and their directors as well as writers. He learns from every individual and always tries to adopt their good habits.

To beat stress, Prashant thinks positively instead of seeing the negative. He likes to write poems to attain mental peace.

Prashant’s life mantra is to never give up in life. He also believes that whatever happens, it happens for the good, as change is the law of the universe.

In her spare time, Prashant likes to read to learn new things. He also likes to spend time with himself.

Advising aspirants to his field, Prashant says to do your work with full dedication and don't focus on the rejections. You have to work hard to fulfil your dreams. It is important to work on your skills and craft to achieve success in this field. Continuous practice is also required to master any art. He believes that for an actor, it is important to learn every type of work.
