Prarthana aspired to become a Scientist and a Researcher but due to adverse circumstances, she ended up becoming a Teacher. She is successfully running her school on the basis of her ability and making a mark in the field of education.

Prarthana Gupta is the Founder and Managing Trustee of a CBSE-affiliated school called ‘Saandeepani Academy for Excellence’ in Bangalore.

Prarthana was born in Mumbai. She lived there for her initial ten years, and then moved to Bangalore. She did her B.Sc and M.Sc in Agriculture. She also did her Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology. She says that initially, she had no interest in teaching, but due to some circumstances, she ended up teaching in schools and eventually fell in love with the teaching profession.

Sharing her journey, Prarthana says that in 2008, she started a preschool in Bangalore. It gained an extreme amount of popularity which led her to expand it to a grade school. She says that in the last fourteen years, the school has grown a lot and is constantly moving uphill.

Regarding her achievements, Prarthana says that reaching this point in life is nothing less than an achievement for her. Besides, seeing her students respect and live by the rules and values of the school is fulfilling and a big achievement for her.

In her spare time, Prarthana enjoys reading. She also loves to spend time among nature and nurture her garden.

Prarthana advises everyone to be patient and resilient, to work hard and to follow your path diligently because there is no substitute for hard work.
