A businessman based in Udaipur, Prakhar, who sells silver ornaments and handicrafts, thinks that ups and downs in any business are inevitable but never giving up is what makes a successful businessman.

Prakhar Choudhary owns a business of selling silver ornaments and handicrafts in Udaipur.

Prakhar was born and raised in Udaipur. He studied at Central Academy, Sardarpura. He did a B.com. from MB College.

Prakhar says that with an aim to do something different, he moved to Surat after completing high school. He did a business of textiles for about two years whilst at the same time, he was pursuing his bachelors. Then he moved back to Udaipur due to some reason. After coming back to Udaipur, he started assisting his father at his shop. Later, he again moved back to Surat and after staying there for about three years, he came back to Udaipur when COVID hit. Ever since he has been working at his father’s shop.

Talking about his challenges, Prakhar says that he had moved to Surat with the aim to do something different. However, he could not settle down in the new place and also had to face some health issues apart from facing rudeness from locals there. And this prompted him to move back to Udaipur. Later, he again moved back to Surat thinking that this time he would try to settle in the city but he had to face the same issues again and had to again come back to Udaipur.

Talking about COVID, Prakhar says that the pandemic resulted in lower sales of silver ornaments and handicrafts.

Besides his business, Prakhar is also associated with social service groups that distribute blankets, feed poor children, etc.

Talking about his role models, Prakhar says that he has learned a lot from his father to run his business. Besides, he says that his mother always supported him in all his endeavors.

Prakhar thinks that success is never achieved overnight. It takes perseverance and patience to become successful. Besides, he says that to reach the top of any field or business you have to start from scratch and face all the struggles.

In his free time, Prakhar likes to watch TV and roam around with his friends.

To people aspiring to start a business in the same line as his, Prakhar advises them to learn the market dynamics first and then work hard. Besides, he advises them to remain patient as loss and profit are part of every business.
