Prakash Chand Choudhary belongs to Neemuch, M.P. He has studied upto HSC from Indore. He says in 2005, he left Jawad and went to Indore where he served for five years with a clothier. After that from 1972, he started his business of clothes as a cloth broker and a trader.
Prakash says even after much struggle, he did not get success in that business so he went to Jaipur and there he took up a job in a company but soon he came back to Udaipur. Here, he already had a forty years old business running so he opened a branch of that business in Udaipur itself where he supplies sarees and bedsheets.
Prakash’s childhood was spent well in his village Jawad and from there he got his primary education. Because further studies were not possible in that village, he had to go to Indore for studies. In school, he got inspiration from a teacher that he had to go to a big city to do business. He enjoyed studying, playing in the field, playing badminton and participating in debate competitions in his childhood.
Prakash likes watching TV, doing social service and serving sages and saints.
Prakash has struggled a lot in his life and at every phase of life he had to go through difficult times because he was not financially sound so he got a job and studied together. But slowly he developed his business and today he is satisfied with his business.
Prakash laments that the Covid time was very bad and struggled a lot during that time. He played indoor games, flew kites and slept as much as he could.
Prakash gives the message to everyone that no one should come into the clothes business because it is so difficult to run it now as it doesn’t have as much backup as it was before. It requires a huge capital investment so if someone has a lot of money only then he should come into this business or else it is better to get a job.
Prakash’s father is his role model and from him he has learned to live up to the truth. He learned to work hard, not to spread hands in front of anyone, to do as much as he can and do charity to others.
According to Prakash, education doesn’t matter at all, you progress only by experience.
If Prakash gets a chance to go back in time, he would like to go back to his old thoughts and like to have a good home.
Prakash says he is very proud of his business because he has travelled all over India to promote his business and met many clients whom he carried forward and today they have reached a very high peak in their businesses. And even today, they consider him as an elder brother and a fatherly figure which is the biggest achievement of his life.
Prakash suggests that if you get government service, then business should not be done and if private service is available then business is the best option because private services cause a lot of trouble to a person and he always has to bow down before the employer.
About leadership, Prakash says that he has developed leadership skills with time as he happened to work with many leaders and under their supervision. He says if someone works under him, he never considers him as a servant but he treats him just like a family member and gives his best to let him move ahead in life.
